My artistic practice foremost circles around my being and my physical presence. Starting point is my own body that contextualists itself through exhibiting and portraying itself in different perspectives. In this involvement I pose questions like Why am I feeling the way that I am? What kind of time am I living in? What role does my body play in that time? And how can I illustrate a society dictated perception and reduce it to absurdity through breaking with and affecting certain modes of observation? In the development of my praxis the interaction with space and the production of a specific room impression have become the next layer to my own body. This body exits its mantle to enter its eversion through the eye of an iPhone, that in its immediacy translates the personal experience in a media of permanent availability and ordinariness. Generated photos and videos but also the presence of my body appropriate the space surrounding myself and others.
A rather intuitive disposal of multimedia works, ranging from sculptures, screens showing video works to everyday life objects, I alter or leave just the way I find them, allows me to depict rather the relation between the objects and their condensed perspectives and impressions than a single aesthetic art piece that is fixed to one position in a room. My physically present body aims to replace self-produced material. In a continuous controversy about creating material objects in a capitalistic society I try to look for alternatives to tangible and physically existent art works. Gender - body - haptic, built the co-ordinates for exploring their interdependencies and searching for a practice targeting materiality that turns obsolete.
